FOUR different NiTi brushes for complete and cost-effective mechanical cleaning of a dental implant surface.

WHAT WILL YOU RECEIVE?

Four different-shaped nickel-titanium brushes for mechanic debridement of dental implant surfaces.  Each brush has Nickel-Titanium bristles firmly embedded in a stainless steel shaft which affixes to the dental handpiece. Choose the brush which best fits the area to be debrided based on severity and thread pattern. NiTi brushes are used to prepare the implant surface for regrafting. See guidance note below*.

WHAT?

  • Regular-size NiTi brush – for effective pocket access.

  • Narrow NiTi brush – target narrow areas precisely – ideal for the initial stage of peri-implantitis.

  • Wide fan-shaped NiTi brush – narrow fan-shaped brush for limited access.

  • Extended reach NiTi brush – longer shank with dense NiTi fibres.

WHY?

  • Access all areas efficiently through an open flap.

  • Precise and accurate operation.

  • Mechanical cleaning of a dental implant.

  • Clean the implant surface without damaging it.

  • Latch connection for handpiece – optimal speed 500-1200 rpm.

  • Can be Autoclaved.

    • Prepare the surface for revision and bone regeneration*

* BONE REGENERATION AROUND CLEANED IMPLANTS

Chemical cleaning

After implant surface cleaning, a local anti-infective agent is recommended before a bone regeneration procedure.  This can be applied directly or in the case of liquid form, applied to an absorbent resorbing dental membrane or appropriate fully resorbing dental bone graft material.

Use a fully resorbing dental bone graft

Regeneration of bone in contact with the newly cleaned implant surface is completed using a bone graft.  Irrespective of the type, brand or origin of the bone graft used, we recommend only fully resorbing materials at the implant surface.

  • A highly porous fully resorbing graft offers an excellent vehicle for the delivery of aqueous anti-infective agents or centrifuged blood products.

  • Fully resorbing materials will create maximum space for denovo bone directly at the implant surface.

**NON/SLOW RESORBING GRAFT MATERIALS USED AFTER IMPLANT CLEANING:

  • Leave residual particles reducing the bone-to-implant contact area.

  • Can become encapsulated in new bone which has the potential to internally encase cells that could lead to a potential re-infection.

**Examples of non-resorbable materials are:
– Xenograft (animal-derived and processed)
– Mineralised allograft (human cadaver-derived and processed)
– A Biphasic synthetic which contains all or part hydroxyapatite.
