COMPARISON WITH COLLAGEN

Clinicians familiar with resorbing collagen membranes will readily appreciate the single-layer Powerbone Polymer Membrane.  The single layer version is less stiff and drapes more like a collagen. Fixation with pins or membrane tacks is advisable, yet not mandatory. 

COMPARISON WITH PTFE

Clinicians familiar with PTFE will appreciate the double-layer Powerbone Polymer Membrane which handles in a similar way.  The double layer Powerbone Polymer barrier holds the space very well. It is more rigid than the single layer and requires fixation. Unlike PTFE Powerbone Polymer membrane resorbs completely and does not require a second procedure for removal.
