Powerbone Biphasic (BCP) slow-turnover synthetic bone graft particulate (granule).

Powerbone Biphasic Synthetic bone graft performs similarly to xenograft without the patient concerns associated with animal-derived tissue  

• Removes the need for additional consent.

• No restrictions on post-operative blood donation.

• No emotive and lifestyle concerns. 

TECHNICAL

• Hydroxyapatite and Silicate substituted β-TCP fused in a highly porous ceramic. The incorporation of Silicate adds osteoinductive performance which stimulates the adhesion of circulating proteins. 

• Granule size 0.5mm-1mm.

INDICATIONS FOR SLOW TURNOVER GRAFTS:

• Implant placement is not scheduled such as ridge preservation following extraction.

• Implant placement is delayed beyond the optimum time for a resorbable graft (typically 4 to 6 months).
  

• Volume maintenance is required in sites outside of the bony envelope – alone or mixed with autogenous bone or quicker resorbing materials such as Powerbone Granules (Silicate substituted β-TCP).

 Each individual Powerbone Biphasic Granule is Gamma sterilised and carries a shelf life of 5 years.
